Glow Plug Replacement Audi A6 C4 AEL

Does anyone happen to know where this fuse is located?
"Nothing seems to be working with the candles anymore, and I wanted to fix that before winter."

As far as I know, it's located on the passenger side, in the footwell or near the A-pillar.

Hmm.
There are 3 relays for the engine heating system and for the EDC (Electronic Damping Control).

Hello.

The fuse box is located on the passenger side, under the carpet, underneath the glove compartment.

To access that area, you need to pull the carpet to the left, towards the wheel arch and in the direction of the gear lever.
Then you can fold back the carpet, remove the A-pillar trim and the door sill cover on the passenger side to gain a little more space.

You can hardly tell if you don't know what to look for!
There are still two black plastic covers that need to be removed.
Now you can see the silver engine control unit, and to its right , there is a small black plastic housing containing a metal strip fuse for the glow plugs / 80A.
Do not confuse this with the metal strip fuse for the electric heater in the heat exchanger, which is protected by a 50A fuse.

So, is the EDC really located under the passenger's feet? I saw a black plastic cover underneath the carpet, but I didn't want to remove the entire carpet.

Yes, with a carpet knife and a small cut, you can remove that part in 5 minutes, and everything will be fine afterward.

Be careful, because the carpet can tear very easily and then looks very unsightly.
Be mindful of moisture, as the water reservoir in the C4 can quickly become full, and the MSTG (presumably a sensor or component) is located in a rather inconvenient place in the footwell.

The carpet is also pre-marked, making it easy to see where you should position the carpet knife. It's also helpful to remove the cover panel in the passenger footwell, which you already had in your hand. This allows you to fold the carpet back far enough.
