If you don't have a diagnosis readily available, you can still use your hearing to help.
Intact PDC sensors emit a "clicking" sound at a relatively fast frequency.
If someone remains silent, there's a 90% chance you've found the culprit.

Maybe it will help someone or another at some point icon_wink.gif.
Greetings.

Hi,

Are the other, non-defective ones activated when one fails?

Not that they will all be shut down in the event of a problem. And then it becomes impossible to distinguish between the living and the dead.

Because I was just about to suggest positioning yourself in a way that the PDC (Parking Distance Control) doesn't "see" you, and then using your hand to deliberately "cover" individual sensors. The defective item will not report anything.

However, for this to work, the system itself must remain active even if a sensor is not cooperating.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

It's not possible to simply disable it manually or similar, because if a sensor is defective, the entire system shuts down, but the sensors that are still working will continue to emit that sound.

Ah, okay.

Okay, I'll try to capture the tone.

I tried comparing VAG vehicles, BMW, and Kia, and they all seem to have the same sound.
