Hello

My 2006 model A4 has very different exhaust temperatures.
I've noticed that the fridge isn't cooling properly anymore. It takes a very long time for the interior to cool down.
Yesterday, I let him run for a while and checked the temperatures.
The temperature was set to LO on both sides.
Error memory is empty.
Initial settings for the actuators have been performed.

So, after about 5 minutes of idling with some gentle gas pedal adjustments:

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Hi Bolzer,

Actually, I would argue that the temperature control valve on the right side is not reaching the "cold" setting. This would align with the measurements and your error description. Possible causes include a faulty control motor (which is usually stored in the fault memory) or a dislodged/broken mechanism.

Suggestion: Perform a diagnosis of the engine control valve when the engine is warm, specifically at the temperature control valve on the right side. Then, you should experience a few seconds of cold (air-conditioned) air and a few seconds of warm (coolant-heated) air. If that's still possible, the temp door would be fine again.

The only thing that makes me think is:
[code]28.0°C Outlet Temperature. Evaporator (G263)
Behind the evaporator, it should actually be cooler, provided that it is properly filled with refrigerant.

But first, check the fuel cap, and then we'll see.

Greetings
Guste

"I have also experienced a similar issue with one of the vents in my air conditioning system, which would occasionally malfunction, but then return to normal." Not doing anything or constantly replacing components will not be a sustainable solution. The best approach is to identify and replace the problematic component.

Warning: Retrofitting can be complex depending on the model and actuator. icon_smile.gif

Hello

Thank you for the quick responses.

This weekend, I'll have the air conditioning system serviced, including draining and refilling it.
The last time was in 2010. It can't really hurt, can it?
Then I'll take out the actuators and check the valve mechanism.

Is it just as easy to get to as with the B5, or is it easier to get to with the B7?

Upon initial setup, all 6 motors have run and have also synchronized. However, I noticed that one was approximately 1/3 slower than the others. I, however, no longer know which one.
I'll watch it too.

I'll get back to you on the weekend when I have more information.

Greetings

Hello!
There seems to be something completely wrong there.

I think the atomizer is probably okay...
Okay, here's the translation:

Measure only the footwell and compare the evaporator temperature with the left and right footwell areas, with the ventilation naturally on (first set the fan level doesn't matter). However, this is a Log.
Momentary values often don't tell much.

Hello

On Saturday, I had the air conditioning system refilled.
It seems that something was missing.
Unfortunately, I cannot post any secure temperature readings yet, as it has not been warm enough for the climate operation in recent days.

At 18°C outside temperature, the temperatures at the outlets looked good. Relatively even on the left and right sides.

As soon as it gets warm again, I'll post a log and report again.

It seems there were some issues.

Therefore, the evaporator did not cool evenly, which also reflected in the evaporator temperature.

Therefore, the temperatures along the pipelines are also different... I experienced the same phenomenon firsthand at the Octavia RS.
