Golf 4 AZD, throttle valve error 17972, low voltage

I'm contacting this forum after a long time because I've run out of ideas for troubleshooting. I didn't want to immediately replace the throttle body or battery, as this wouldn't be worth it given the high mileage.

On one of our Golf (4), 2001, MBK AZD, 1.6l petrol engines, with 260,000 km, the following error has been occurring repeatedly for some time:

17972 - Throttle Body Control Unit (J338) - Low Voltage During Initialisation
P1564 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

This results in the EPC WL and emergency stop being activated.

I have already performed a basic setting of the DK via:
Motor electronics (address 01) > Basic setting (function 04) > Measurement group 060. This basic setting is also confirmed as OK.

The vehicle starts without problems (if the fault is not present), the battery is not old. According to the charger, it is in good condition. After DK connection and a cable change, the fault is still not present. I have checked the engine's ground connection. It looked good, but I cleaned it again anyway.

Does the default setting of the DK also need to be performed again when the ignition is turned on? Otherwise, the error should already be present immediately after connecting the DK. Or the error code does not match the actual error.

Hallo ich bin auch gerade an der Adaptions-Problematik der Drosselklappe.
Es scheint mir, wenn die Masse gemessen und gesichert vorhanden ist, als wenn da auch deine DrKl.spor. defekt ist.
Ist denn die Versorgungsspannung der DrKl gesichert? Vielleicht findest du den Spannungspin raus und greifst den mal ab, Anzeige dann möglichst innen beim Fahren ablesbar.
Such dir doch ( zeitwertgerechte Rep. ) eine gebrauchte DrKl mit Rückgaberecht dann kannst du die ausprobieren.
Eine Batterie kann man auch mal aus einem anderen FZ probehalber reinbauen wenn da eine Unsicherheit ist, oder wenigstens ein V- Meter nach innen legen, damit man sieht, was die Batterieladung macht.

Hallo Teileklaus,

ich habe nun vor ein paar Tagen die Batterie noch einmal voll geladen und bin in der Beobachtungsphase. Der Fehler bisher nicht wieder aufgetreten. Es scheint also tatsächlich ein Unterspannungsproblem zu sein.
Ich denke spätestens im Herbst ist eine neue Batterie fällig.
