Hello everyone,
following assumption:
Tiguan 2016, used only once a year with a trailer. Otherwise, no towing. Also no caravan or anything like that.
I would like to install a tow hitch and, very rudimentarily (yes, it's a bit of a mess), install a universal 7-pole trailer socket and connect the lights with jumper cables. The goal is for the lights to only illuminate the rear light on the bicycle. (As it was on the Golf 3, etc.)
1. Will this work?
2. Can a control unit be damaged because the resistance is too high, for example, due to two brake lights being activated simultaneously?
3. Are there any issues with the LED side lights on the Tiguan and normal bulbs on the rear?
4. I expect that various error messages will appear in the AI once the handlebar is connected. But the errors are going away again, right?
Please do not misunderstand, I am simply trying to find the most cost-effective solution to remove the tires once a year.
I don't want to hear instructions like "put the cables forward and connect the terminals to the main bus."
Thank you.
