Hi everyone,
If anyone is interested, here's an addition to the article from the 'Stammtisch/And what are you all up to?' section on December 11, 2022.

Basic information:
For all Fabia models of type 6Y, a master cylinder with a diameter of 20.64mm is used for all engine types.
Whether this is also the case for other vehicles on the PQ24 platform (e.g., Seat Ibiza 6L, VW Polo 9N) remains to be seen.
What I cannot say, however, is something that can be assumed.

The Fabia RS has brake calipers with a 54mm piston diameter at the front and brake calipers with...
38mm diameter, factory-installed.
This combination with the original HBZ results in a relatively doughy pedal feel, which also contributes to...
It is due to the playful nature of the leadership style. These are designed to prevent squeaking noises.

When a defect forced me to switch to brake calipers with a 41mm diameter earlier than planned,
Consequently, the distance required to pedal became inherently longer.

The following modification will provide a solution:
Master cylinder with a 23.81mm diameter, originally from an Audi TT (or other model), modified with a different piston and spacer plate.
The brake fluid reservoir is a perfect fit.
"All brake calipers feature pre-lubricated, zero-clearance guide pins using Plastilube."

The pedal travel is noticeably shorter, the brakes react much faster, and are easier to modulate!
There's a defined, crisp tactile feedback now, whereas before it was more of a pressure range!

In the long term, the absence of friction-inducing guide pins could potentially lead to more even wear of the pads.
as well as less prone to rusting brake discs under low stress/normal driving conditions due to a slightly increased braking force.
due to the larger piston diameter of the HBZ (hydraulic brake booster) and the brackets on the rear axle.
We'll see.

Best regards and good night.
