Touareg 7P - Ring Break? Questionable Errors After Marble Bite

Dear Forum Community,

After a marble bite, the customer's vehicle exhibits strange error patterns.

First, I checked the engine and found a fault in heating circuit bank 1, sensor 1. The cable was intact - I thought it was a coincidence, because the fault was in the NOx sensor cable - this was repaired and covered with shrink tubing.

The error could be cleared, but it was approximately 2000km long, then suddenly reappeared - again MIL - and a fault in the bus system (see below).

Lambda sensor is also new, but the error still appears?

Control unit faulty?

Where should I start my search? Do you know these patterns?

What surprises me is that the ring failure diagnosis confirms both visual and electrical faults for the diagnostic interface, control panel, and radio.

However, everything appears to be working, as the control units can also be directly addressed via VCDS.

The error in the optical bus is strange, I expected the audio system to not work.

Would like to clear all errors and see what comes back, possibly there was a short circuit due to the NOx cable being damaged and then starting the system.

Errors always reappear, and cannot be deleted.

The car drives normally, without any fault codes. In principle, the fault itself would not be a major problem, however, the engine check warning light is a hurdle for the TÜV (German technical inspection).

How should I proceed with guided troubleshooting?

Hello,

I would get the car's wiring diagram from Erwin (siehe Fehlerdatenbank) and first fix the two issues mentioned in the engine control unit.

Either the probe/sensor is defective or the associated wiring.
The engine control unit (ECU) is not very prone to failure.
