Hi!
Inspection question clarified. A friend is taking care of it icon_wink.gif.
But: Which oil should I bring? It's for a Volkswagen Golf IV with the AJM engine, 115 hp TDI-PD.
Thank you all!
Markus.

Hello Markus, please refer to the owner's manual for your vehicle.

Best regards, Rainer.

That's right. I saw it. However, I can't cite it right now because I am at work icon_cool.gif.
I can remember that it said 'VW-XXXXXX' on it. And I didn't necessarily want to buy the expensive VW oil, but rather ask if there was an identical oil from other brands. That's why I asked. icon_sad.gif

Hello,

VW has various standards:

VW Standards 50200 and 50500: "Conventional" gasoline and diesel engines.
VW Standards 50300 and 50600: Vehicles with approved extended maintenance intervals (excluding, for example, vehicles with PD engines).
VW Standard 50501: Pump-nozzle vehicle without extended maintenance interval.
VW Standard 50301: Various gasoline turbo engines.
VW Standard 50601: Pump-nozzle vehicles with approved extended maintenance intervals
.
Simply find the cheapest oil that meets your required oil specification.
For vehicles that do not have a Warm Water Installation (WIV), the oil used should also NOT be specifically designed for WIV systems.

Best regards, Rainer.
