Hello,
so, the white smoke is coming from burned coolant, and since you're also having starting problems (occasionally), I would recommend first Step 1: Inspect the AGR cooler.
It occasionally happens that certain components expand at a specific temperature, causing the cooling fins to become leaky, which can then allow coolant to enter the combustion chamber. The water accumulation in the cylinder must first be purged during the starting process, and this also creates the smoke.
If you need to access the underside of your vehicle (e.g., using a lift, a pit, etc.). Ä.) Then, I would advise you to temporarily close the 2 coolant hoses on the AGR cooler (it would be best to connect them with a piece of tubing) and then to observe the behavior regarding white smoke and starting problems again.
Specifically, if you leave the vehicle for 3-4 days and it starts after, I would suspect a mechanical issue, possibly involving the cooling system. "While a head gasket might be possible, it would likely be a recurring issue, requiring frequent coolant refills (or the appearance of oil in the overflow tank)."
