Hello everyone, fellow particulate matter enthusiasts!
I would like to adjust the opening pressure on AFB nozzle holders and need the appropriate adjustment pins for this purpose.
Unfortunately, they are not available anywhere, and various remaining stocks are being sold at exorbitant prices. I am looking for alternatives.
AFB adjustment pins differ in length from other types (AKB, BAU, etc.). They are approximately 1 cm shorter. Since I have some old AKE nozzles, I was wondering if it's possible to shorten them?
Of course, this shortening would have to be done very precisely to avoid creating uneven edges, which might also become flattened over time, thus reducing the opening pressure.
In my opinion, the entire shaft should be hardened, not just the surface, and the pen should not be subject to external mechanical wear during operation, as it simply compresses the spring and, in normal circumstances, the spring does not vibrate or lift, thus minimizing stress on the surface of the tip.
Or what do you think?
Alternatively, I could try to find a workshop that does this, but unfortunately, I've received rejections from several places, including H-Turbo.
