Hello,

I'm having a small problem with my Golf 3, manufactured in 1996, with 292,000 km on the odometer and 90 horsepower.
After the engine starts, I have no power available. It takes about 1 km to accelerate to 50 km/h. Only at 3300 RPM does the boost kick in, and then I have full engine power. I can then continue driving normally until the next engine start. What could be the problem? Could it be the mass airflow sensor (MAF)? Where exactly is it located?

You're very welcome, Svente68.

Hi,

Here you can find a large number of technical articles that answer most of the basic questions.
Simply click on the link in the gallery above, and you will find information about the LMM.
Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate.

So, first, do some research on that topic (and possibly in other related articles), and if you get stuck, feel free to ask more questions here.

It seems to me that your problem isn't caused by the LMM (lambda sensor), but rather by a lack of boost pressure due to a stuck turbocharger mechanism, or the usual suspect: the boost pressure control valve.
