MKB ANU Doku: Oil Check Light On Until Week 45/2002 (Solution)

The oil level warning light illuminates when driving gently and after long distances. The oil level is located between the "min" and "max" marks on the dipstick.

Cause:
In certain cases, under specific driving conditions and unfavorable tolerances, the minimum warning threshold may be reached. The oil level is recognized as being below the lower limit and displayed accordingly.

Solution:
Part number 038 103 134 (intermediate ring with seal) and 3 x N 102 488 01 (screws, 2 mm longer).

This intermediate ring is installed between the oil level sensor and the oil pan.
