This afternoon, I installed the dual headlights from a GT model into my Golf III TDI. Unfortunately, they aren't working the way I want them to. Specifically, I want the low beam headlights to remain on when I turn on the high beams.
At some point, I read that if something doesn't work, I need to install a "bridge" somewhere. Unfortunately, I can't find the source anymore. Where exactly do I need to install this "bridge," and where can I even get one? Will a standard fuse handle it?
Questions upon questions.
I would be very grateful if someone could provide me with some information.
'Ask Hella. They have an installation guide for their clear headlights. It may be necessary to install a bracket, and Hella also supplies those brackets.'
The thing about the bridge is true, but I also installed the GT headlights, and the TÜV (German technical inspection authority) doesn't complain if the bridge is missing .
The TÜV (German technical inspection agency) isn't my problem either; I simply want it to be bright in front of my car when using high beams. However, that only works if the bridge is present, which means both the high beams and the low beams are on.
