Hello,
I have an old Audi 80 1Z, manufactured in 1992, with a faulty EGR valve and (of course) without a VTG turbocharger... *sniff*...
A slight amount of soot is visible at maximum load.
It can be quite helpful, especially since I drive 1000 km per week on the highway, to briefly press the 'exhaust button' if someone is tailgating you closely.
'But I would like to try to eliminate it by doing a '10-cent tuning,' which means slightly increasing the boost pressure.'
Unfortunately, even after studying the technical articles, I'm still not entirely sure if it's even possible for my 'Senior' model, as the articles only describe newer engines.
If so: where exactly do I need to solder in which resistor (to achieve 0.2 bar more pressure)?
And does the magnetic valve in the engine compartment also need to be replaced, if necessary?
Okay... Of course, I've implemented LDA, and the values are normal, i.e., a maximum of 1 bar.
Otherwise: Keep up the great work, this is truly the top diesel website on the internet!!!
Markus.
