How is this possible? We had the problem with the engine turning over excessively when starting, and we received a new engine starter motor under warranty during the autumn holidays.
So, since then, it has happened once, and yesterday it happened several times, and today I went: same diagnosis again.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Are these starters now failing every 5000km?
Perhaps the wrong sensor was replaced (as in my case), and the actual fault was temporarily fixed by searching (plugging in and out). The error was probably fixed by searching (plugging in and out) the connector with the faulty contact. Then, on suspicion, a sensor was replaced, but the problem is back. Also, a difference in ambient temperature can now lead to the error. Now, the temperature difference between cold start and operating temperature is greater, so there is more movement in the material.
Of course, a further malfunction of the sensor cannot be ruled out.

Hi,
the sensor that needs to be replaced is located near the coolant glow plugs, so if you look at the plastic engine cover from the right side, are there multiple ones there?
