Independent tests have repeatedly confirmed that the 'new' diesel fuel actually delivers what Aral promises.
Noise reduction of 3dB with a cold engine; improved ignition leading to less sulfur and therefore less soot buildup; this will certainly also benefit the often-problematic mixing chamber housing.
Is there any truth to that?
See you.

So, I tested the Super Diesel for several tankfuls, and surprisingly, I found a slight increase in fuel consumption of approximately 0.2 to 0.5 liters.
Currently, I get my diesel fuel from Esso because, according to a test, they add additives to their diesel. The same applies to gasoline.
'That means our self-service station has a lower consumption rate, which is less than Aral. I was also surprised by that.'

Oh yes, I should add that I drive a Polo 6N SDI.
Fuel consumption: 4.2 to a maximum of 5.1 liters per 100 kilometers, the latter with winter tires and short distances.

Okay, so the Aral fuel is supposed to have 55 Cetane numbers, compared to 51 Cetane numbers. This results in the combustion process starting even during the injection phase. This doesn't offer much benefit for modern diesel engines with multi-point injection. However, it might be beneficial for older engines. I'm just puzzled that Aral doesn't advertise this feature more prominently. Do they not have any fuel left?
I have a AAZ (GIII TD, 55KW) engine and I have it set up with a fairly rich fuel mixture. During the winter, I noticed that it only produced black smoke when using Aral fuel. Now, it produces black smoke with any fuel I use. It's also gotten warmer, and mine doesn't have a setting for that.

Hi!
I used to regularly use Aral fuel (as a high-mileage driver) and had similar experiences. The fuel consumption was slightly higher, but the torque was slightly lower. The typical vibrations associated with chipped TDIs also decreased, likely a consequence of the reduced torque. I also experienced a similar effect when using biodiesel – no vibrations and also no torque. I've been using a different fuel brand for a while now. Aral has partnered with DEA and BP. They probably all have the same thing now...
Best regards,
Uwe

Hello, as you may already know, I drive an AJM engine with a chip installed in my Golf IV Variant. I've tried Aral Super Diesel several times. The engine ran a bit smoother and reacted slightly more spontaneously to acceleration. There was a minimal loss of torque, but the engine felt a bit more rev-happy. Under full load, it made slightly less noise.

Hello,
Apparently, Aral's SuperDiesel is supposed to contain less sulfur. Okay, here's the translation:
'Now, to my question. I drive a 1Z TDI 90hp Vento from 1994, which has a distributor injection pump. I once read that these pumps are lubricated with sulfur, so I was wondering if I need to add a sulfur additive to the tank when I fill up at Aral.'
Can you help me understand if this is correct, or what's true about it?

I can only confirm that. This weekend, I saw an ARAL tank train at a BP gas station. I might have looked stupid !

Hello!
DEA is part of Shell. In 2002, Deutsche Shell GmbH acquired DEA Oil GmbH and subsequently established Shell & DEA Oil GmbH.

Hello!
I had similar experiences with the Austrian OMV diesel. For a long time, I used diesel from a discount gas station. The result was a faster clogging of the diesel filter and a greater tendency for soot formation. In the summer, cheaper diesel seems to be more prone to causing soot. With OMV diesel, the engine runs more smoothly and produces very little soot. Also, the fuel consumption decreased by up to half a liter. All of this was tested with ACV and AHU engines. Since I now always look for an OMV gas station, which is located very close to a Jet station, the price is also okay, as they usually have the same .

Hello,
I almost exclusively fill up at Aral, occasionally at Shell. Nothing else. I hardly ever have any soot buildup, even with a chip, and the engine is now running with 235,000 km without any problems. I used to maintain my Kadett 1.6D in the same way. It ran for well over 200,000 km before I sold it. I mostly drive long distances, mainly on the highway.
Regards,
I'm sorry, I can't translate that word because it doesn't seem to be a real word. It might be a typo or a made-up word. Could you please provide a different word or phrase?
