R Gear Problem: Polo AKU Transmission Compatibility

My Polo, like almost all of them, has a problem with reverse gear. I don't know what's causing it .

After almost a year and a half, there was an even more unpleasant noise yesterday than usual. Therefore, I am now looking for a replacement gearbox.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the exact name, but I thought it might be DED.

The question is: Which transmissions are compatible with my engine?

My transmission has:

- Rods
- Clutch with cable actuation.


Da mir persönlich das Getriebe auch zu kurz ist (wenigstens im fünften Gang), könnte natürlich auch ein anderes Getriebe in Frage kommen. Nur which?

I didn't want to convert it to either a cable-operated system or a hydraulic clutch.

I would really appreciate any help. A table with the GKB (German part number) and all the translations (including the axis) would be very interesting, as it's possible that gearboxes from Golf 2/3 models might also be compatible.
