Hello everyone,
I'm quite puzzled by my 1995 Golf TDI. At high RPM and speed (on the highway, starting around 130 km/h), it only accelerates sluggishly. It seems like it wants to accelerate, but it can't quite do it the way it should. Something is holding him back.
Possible sources of error have already been checked: the mass airflow sensor is okay, the error memory is completely empty, the exhaust gas recirculation valve has been cleaned... but nothing has worked!
Help!!! |

Hi Monster.
Please provide us with more detailed information.
- What type of TDI engine is it (1Z, AHU, ALE, AFN)? (This is indicated in the service booklet).
- What does "air mass meter OK" mean? What values does it display? How did you measure it?
- Have you already done a dyno test? (Run the engine from 2000-4000 RPM in 3rd gear, fully depressing the accelerator pedal from 1500 RPM).
- High RPM and a speed of 130 (in which gear)? In 5th gear, that should be around 2800 RPM.
If you have data, we can say more.
Greetings.
