I've never seen anything behind the timing chain cover so soon after a timing chain replacement.
and I am therefore not sure.

Just measure the width of the timing belt; I've already written something about that in another post.
The page always looks a bit blurry. What I can't quite make out from the pictures is whether the edge of the page is at a 90-degree angle or if it's been cut at an angle, which wouldn't be ideal.
Does the timing belt tension need to be adjusted?

Hi Michael,

It sounds like the belt tension is too low. Check this immediately, otherwise the 1Z motor will be damaged. Regarding the jerking: try searching for "needle lifter" or "quantity control device" in the search function.

Okay, I agree... I think the sidewalls of the tires look more normal than critical.

Oops, I missed the pictures . Can I join Ulf? -> Looks okay. Yesterday, I also removed the ZR cover: after 20,000 km, there's quite a bit of wear on the belt (fine, voluminous dust). Just press the belt down firmly (with your thumb) and check the tension on the tensioner pulley (I use a dentist's mirror for this on the Audi 80, otherwise it's hard to see).
