Hello,
I installed the 0.216 injectors yesterday.
Vehicle: Golf III AFN
Car runs noticeably better, but one noise is concerning me!
Since the new nozzles are installed, a metallic sound can be heard.
With the older nozzles, there is no noise.
I can't pinpoint the exact source -> fuel pump, cylinder, in that general area.
Has anyone experienced the same problem after installing the nozzles?
What could it be?
Greetings and thanks for the tips

Hi,
Possibly, you didn't align the nozzles 100% correctly - ULF also had this issue, and after a minor adjustment, it was okay.
With alignment, the distance to the guides/guides on the right and left of the nozzle is meant to be at the bottom.

I hadn't really paid much attention to how I was aligning the nozzles, as you can't really change much. The holders are like forks, and the nozzles are located in between - you can't really rotate them much.
Do you mean that?

if they are NEW nozzles and the noise sounds like a hammer hitting a small anvil....
then it is normal and should disappear after a few 100km.
...the NBF nozzle produced this noise...
See you, Gremlin |

These are brand new nozzles!
Exactly! The sound is like a hammer hitting a small anvil.
Should it then disappear on its own?
In ULF's post, I just read, he had to properly align the nozzles...
Hmm, I'll wait and see - if it doesn't go away, then I'll have to adjust it again.
Greetings

Dusting off...
Okay, I installed the 0.216' nozzles from the shop for my A4 1.9 TFSI (long-term installation)
Well, but I also have this really annoying ticker/bell sound and I just can't get rid of it! I've tried cleaning the nozzles for at least 2 hours now... but it's still there! I think it's coming from the third nozzle with the cable attached...
Definitely doesn't sound very healthy. Is it harmful to the engine in the long run? So far, I've driven about 150km with the new nozzles.
Does the noise disappear on its own after about 100 km? |

Check if the valve moves when the engine is running, or if it runs smoother when you slightly clamp it with a screwdriver. If so, the nozzle is loose or there is no or incorrect sealing ring. 3B5 AJM

Please refer to the included instructions or the following:

The nozzle holders must fit tightly against the ZK, please definitely test with laundry detergent.
Light clicking sounds are normal, and even slightly worn nozzles can sound "very soft." You will get used to it.
It doesn't take 2 hours to "align" the nozzles. Just tighten them as much as possible so that the nozzle holder is perfectly seated in the holder and that's it. There's really not much more that can be done.
Warning: Were the supplied gaskets also installed, and was it ensured that the old gaskets were not still in the ZK (presumably referring to a specific component or area)?
Had already a motor where, among other things, the feat of installing two sealing rings on top of each other was achieved.

There is nothing from Spüli there ...
Yes, I have worked very cleanly! Everything is sealed (tested with oil) and the old seals are also out... I have also correctly installed the new ones
Well, you can definitely spend 2 hours on that... I think I've already arranged everything, especially the nozzle holders with .

Hey!
you probably mean the nozzle holder... |

I meant the entire unit -- I thought it was obvious.
I recently encountered a similar situation. The person had no O-ring under the 3rd component, but they did have 2 O-rings under the 4th component. Nr. 3 made noises and danced back and forth like a loose spark plug. 3B5 AJM
