Hi!

Does anyone know the correct coding for the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) after installing a tow bar?
The system unfortunately doesn't work like that.

Hi Michi!

Please first, on the VCDS main page, in the upper right "Settings" section, change the WSC to a numerical sequence.
Many STGs find the WSC with so many zeros to be implausible

Ok, I will change the WSC.

I have installed a trailer hitch (Westfalia with Jaeger-E-kit).
Was I was able to successfully re-program all the control units to match the installed trailer hitch - but unfortunately, the ACC control unit.
After starting, he types "Braking guard off" into the display and wants me to activate the cruise control/ACC: "ACC: not available".

According to various online forums, I am not alone in this problem, however, none of the users have the same original encoding as me.
I'm not sure if I should try any kind of coding that has worked for others to get the system running again - after all, the system is actively involved in the driving process.

Of course, I could also get it done at Audi and have them code it using an SMV code.
There might be some complications though, as I only have a 600W fan and Audi probably requires an 800W fan in combination with a tow hitch.
(But I'll take that to heart: even towing a 750kg trailer 3km to the recycling center should be possible with 600W...)

Please also provide the details of the STG encoding for distance control (i.e., which checkboxes are set). That's something you can easily capture with a Screenshot.

Please do not randomly try out different encodings and re-discover the original encoding (e.g., Autoscan).

Since STG 13, the ACC module for the FL model, is unfortunately still not documented in VCDS.

Is there anything new here now?

yes, I had specifically downloaded and freshly installed the latest version on Saturday.

I now also have a meeting where the entire SVM code will be coded, it would be great if Rosstech could also release the documentation.

I'm a bit sad that there's such a big gap now. But it is also understandable, given the increased complexity.

But they really need to step up their game and compete effectively.

He didn't add 69 to the Installation List (not registered), so I would suggest that when you ask for the original condition scan, you should specify that. The 13th coding requires HEX to DEC conversion:

I would change the 13th coding from 53168 to 53161 and convert it back to HEX for him: 00CFA9

"Normal coding" is simply a system where each bit, when represented in binary, corresponds to a specific function or setting.

If the values in decimal notation are specified in the tooltips and the control unit provides them in hexadecimal notation, then you naturally have to convert them accordingly.

At 00CFB0, it is clear that it is a hexadecimal number; at 002222, this would not be clear.

Does anyone have a Screenshot of the code display? My suggestion is that, if we're already doing it this way, instead of using pre-made buttons, we should write the number base first, such as 0b1111, 0x0f, or 15.

I will do that.

I deliberately chose the virgin scan. In the meantime, I had registered the 69 and also informed ESP that there was now a tow hitch, so that the fair could proceed and I wouldn't have to drive without ESP.

This morning, the car was brought to the workshop because it was leaking oil from all the seals. Subsequently, the AHK (vehicle identification) is registered via SVM (online), and I then send a new vehicle scan.

When I was encoding in ACC, I didn't wait for a tooltip and immediately clicked on the "Long Coding Assistant," which was then empty.

I couldn't find a tooltip or similar, I only have the Long Coding Assistant, and it doesn't provide any documentation.

I'm just joining in here, I hope this is okay?
I have installed a trailer hitch on my S4 B8 and now I'm having problems with the trailer hitch control unit. The ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) system is shutting down when it should be actively braking while towing.
The supplier's support team says I have incorrectly coded it and now they want to sell me the coding as well.
However, I would prefer to handle the coding myself using my VCDS.
Could someone with professional expertise please take a look at the scan of my car and point out any potential issues?
