Please first go to the main page of VCDS, click the "Settings" tab on the top right, and change the WSC to a numerical sequence.
Many StGe (likely referring to a specific group or term) dislike the implausible WSC (likely an abbreviation) with lots of zeros.

What exactly was done, and what does the ACC (not) do?

Okay, I will change that regarding the WSC.

I installed an auxiliary heating system (Westfalia with a Jaeger electric kit).
I was able to reprogram all the control units to match the installed trailer hitch, except for the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) module.
After starting, it displays "Braking guard off" in small letters and then prompts me to activate the cruise control or ACC: "ACC: not available."

According to various online forums, I'm not alone in experiencing this problem, but no one else seems to have the exact same original configuration as I do.
I'm not sure if I should try any kind of coding that has worked for others to get the system running again - after all, the system actively interferes with the driving process.


Of course, I could already have it registered with Audi and have it coded there using an SMV code.
It's likely there will be complications, as I only have a 600W fan installed, and Audi probably requires an 800W fan when using a trailer hitch.
(But I'll take responsibility for that. Pulling a 750kg trailer 3km to the recycling center should be doable with 600W...)

Please provide the details of the coding for the distance control module (i.e., which checkboxes are set). You can take a Screenshot to show this.

Unfortunately, the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) feature of the FL model is still not documented in VCDS (Vehicle Diagnostic System).

Yes, I specifically downloaded and installed the latest version again on Saturday.

I now also have an appointment where the entire process will be coded using SVM. It would be great if Rosstech could make some progress with the documentation.

So, besides the fact that the trailer control unit (address 69) is not registered in the vehicle's configuration list, the trick is that a tooltip for adjustment appears when using the adaptive cruise control (ACC), but the values cannot be properly adjusted.

"Normal encoding" is simply a number where, in binary representation, individual bits correspond to specific functions or settings.

If the tooltips display values in decimal notation, and the control unit provides them in hexadecimal notation, then you naturally need to convert them accordingly.

It is clear that 00CFB0 is a hexadecimal number, while it would not be clear that 002222 is a hexadecimal number.

"Does anyone have a Screenshot of the coding display? My suggestion would be that, since you're already doing the calculations instead of using pre-made buttons, you should write the number base before the number, like '0b1111' or '0x0f' or '15'."

I will do that.

I intentionally used the default, factory settings for the car scan. In the meantime, I registered the trailer hitch (AHK) and also informed the ESP system that a trailer hitch is now installed, so that the system would reactivate and I wouldn't be driving without ESP.

This morning, the car was brought to the workshop because it's leaking oil from all the seals. While it's there, the tow hitch will be registered online (via svm). I will then send a new vehicle scan.

While coding with ACC, I didn't expect a tooltip and immediately pressed the Long Coding Assistant, which then appeared empty.

Here is the result after the SVM analysis:

I couldn't find any tooltips or similar help, I only get the Long Coding Assistant, and it doesn't display any documentation.

The result, however, at least confirms Ross-Tech's statement.

I'm just chiming in here, I hope that's okay.
I installed a trailer hitch on my S4 B8, and now I'm having problems with the trailer hitch control unit, and the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) is failing when it's supposed to brake while towing.
The support team from the supplier says I encoded something incorrectly and now they want to sell me the correct encoding.
However, I would like to perform the coding using my VCDS device.
Could someone with expertise take a look at my car's diagnostic scan and point out any potential issues?
