Hello everyone,
For some time now, I've had a problem where I can no longer lock and unlock my Passat 3BG (manufactured in 11/2000) with either of the two remote keys.
Opening and closing via the driver's door works, as does the button on the driver's door.
No fault codes are stored.
"The new key for the radio system also doesn't work."
Battery in the transmitter is okay, the transmit LED is blinking.
It seems the S-contact is still functioning, as the radio turns off when the ignition key is removed.
Does anyone know about this problem?
Greetings,
Kurt |

Hi,
How do I know if the battery is okay?
The blinking LED says little. Either measure the voltage under load or simply use a new battery.

I can't provide you with an answer, but I have a follow-up question, as my connection is also weakening.
My central locking system still works with the remote, but not when I press the 'lock' button.
This doesn't apply to me regarding the batteries. Firstly, she's trying, but not completely, secondly, I of course tried the second channel, with the same result.
I.ü. activates the internal relay of the radio receiver but does not trigger any further action. Contact all cleaned.
Is this thing connected to the WFS?
Greetings

Hello,
Now, experts are being consulted:
Who knows what the different data blocks of the comfort control device mean?
Under number 14, values are displayed that change when you press the buttons on the key fob. The display changes from "no value" to "OK" or even "not OK". Where can I find more information on what this means?
Greetings,

As far as I can vaguely recall:
No measurement value = no reception / usable signal.
n.i.O. = not in order ---- Faulty/Incorrect signal (key does not fit).
i.O. = in Ordnung ---- correct/appropriate signal (key fits)
I'm not 100% sure, though. Gruß Bertil

I'm not 100% sure, though. | Thanks, I thought so too, it makes sense.
However, there are indeed several (if I remember correctly) three fields where this is displayed: without button press = No value is plausible
If one of the three remote control keys is pressed, sometimes all the fields are "OK" (but the doors still don't open or close), sometimes some or all of the fields are "not OK".
Therefore, I am also interested in knowing exactly what the individual fields mean.
Greetings,
Kurt
PS.: Has anyone ever purchased documents from VW related to "ERWIN"?
Can you find everything about the various measurement blocks there? |

Subject: Remote Control Malfunction
Dear [Name],
I am writing to inform you that the remote control for the [Device Name] is malfunctioning.
The remote control is not responding to any of the buttons. I have tried replacing the batteries, but the problem persists.
I have also tried using the [Alternative Remote Control Name], but it is not working either.
I am concerned that the remote control may be damaged. I would like to request a replacement remote control.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
[Your Name] |

hi servus.I have the same problem as you both, both keys are lit up, but the key fobs don't work. I've already been to VW twice, the key learning didn't work, the key fob on the key was replaced, but it still didn't work. They told me that the comfort control unit costs 232.65 euros, part number 1CO 959 799 B 085, with installation costing around 500 euros, which is quite expensive. The VW master also told me that the control unit is behind the dashboard. Is that correct? I have a Passat 3BG, built in 12/2000, TDI 131 hp. I've now read in the forum that it's under the driver's seat. What's the truth now? They're trying to rip me off. Oops. I'm now looking for a used control unit somewhere. What have you done so far? Is it working for you now? We have the same problem, maybeCan we help each other? How can I best get to the control panel? Maybe just a cable is loose. Help! |

Hello,
Since I had already suspected that the problem was in the control unit, I hadn't yet asked the dealer to investigate the error, as I assumed it would be too expensive for me. Maybe you can now get some at a good price, but I haven't specifically been looking for them yet.
I simply use the key to open and close it.
According to my information, the control unit should be located under the driver's seat, but I haven't checked that yet.
Greetings

Hi
I need to bring this up again.
I currently have the exact same issue with a 2003 Touran.
If nothing blinks after initial setup, check the MWB (Master Webpage) for instructions related to pressing the FFB (Function Button).
n.i.O. = not in order ---- Faulty/Incorrect Signal (key does not fit).
It's just strange that the key already worked and that the learning process also indicates with blinking.
Are there any other points to consider?
Best regards. |
