Golf 3 TDI: Install Key Fob Remote Control

Hello!

I purchased a folding key remote control from www.mucola.de.
because the door lock on the driver's side is broken.

I've used the search function several times, but I haven't found anything relevant.
Therefore, I would like to provide a small 'installation guide' here:


Installation of receiver:

I installed the receiver behind the light switch.
To do this, the plastic parts above and below the steering wheel need to be removed.
Then remove the ventilation grilles in the center and on the left side, as well as the blind covers.
remove it, and take out all the screws.
Remove the light switch, then the bracket for the left side.
Remove the ventilation outlet.
Also, disassemble everything below the steering wheel as well.

The receiver should be placed under the light switch.
Secure this item firmly with a cable tie or similar. The antenna can be...
Route the cables neatly around the fixtures. (There's also very little metal there.)

Remove the jumper from the receiver. Handle the cables with care.

The black cable should be connected directly below the steering wheel.

Then, thread the following cables through the driver's side support:
Rot, Gelb, Gelb/Schwarz, Grün, Blau, evtl. auch die beiten Violetten (f. Turn signal.

Make the following connections on the circuit board (this can also be done at connector 'A1095' if you can find it):

Recipient: _____________ Car: ______________________ Function:
Red + Yellow + Yellow Black ___ Red/White (Thicker cable) ___ +12V constant.
Blue___________________Gray_____________________To lock tightly.
Green___________________Green_____________________Unlock

Other cables:
Brown, Gray: Not required (these are the 'normally closed' connections).
BlauSchwarz: Not required (this may be used to control existing electric windows, if present).
Violet (2x), possibly connect to turn signals.
Rosa(?) Horn (questionable whether it's useful or even allowed?!?)

If you directly connect the lines "on", "to", "+" and "-", it will be sufficient to inject the signal into the compressor unit .

@ Sigi, as requested, I installed the receiver on the compressor. It took about 30 minutes, including connecting the turn signal control.
I installed the cables with branch connectors from a specialized hardware store. It worked very well, and they can be removed relatively cleanly because the cables are only slightly scratched.

Regarding your question, the compressor is located in the rear right side of the Variant and Flowback models, in front of the taillight. You can easily connect the cables there.
Unfortunately, I can't provide any information about switch A1095.

I'm new here, and I actually only signed up because of this interesting topic!
I have a Polo 1.4 TDI, manufactured in March 2000, and I also purchased the remote control from mucola.
However, I've now reached the limits of my abilities during the installation and connection process.
According to the installation instructions, there are several different systems: systems controlled by the positive terminal/systems controlled by the negative terminal, and then systems with either one or two control wires.
Since I have a compressor in the trunk, I was able to determine that I have two control lines based on the cables that connect to it there.
According to the cable list that mucola sent, I also found the following:

Central locking system type: Plus-controlled.
Cable color, central locking, power: white-green.
Cable color for central voltage: white-yellow.

Okay, so I've connected the blue wire labeled "Vehicle On" to the white-green wire, the green wire labeled "Vehicle Off" to the white-yellow wire, the black wire to ground, the red wire to constant positive, and both the yellow and yellow-black wires to constant positive as well.
I haven't connected the others, and I've removed the jumper.
If I now press "Close" on the remote control, I can hear a clicking sound from the device, but the compressor doesn't make a sound.
When I lock the car with the key fob and then press "unlock," the central locking system unlocks, but both front windows (power windows) also partially lower.

I've also tried connecting the yellow and yellow-black wires to ground, just like in a mass-produced system, but that doesn't work either.
Does anyone know what's causing my problem?

Okay, I installed the receiver on the driver's side, near the fuses. I took the up/down wires from the passenger side, near the door opening, and ran them over. Before connecting them, I checked the wires with a voltmeter to make sure I had the correct ones.

I also upgraded my Golf 3 with this FFB.
So far, everything is working perfectly with the central locking system, except for the comfort closing function for the electric sunroof, which is causing problems.
There is a connection on the black box for a comfort closing function, but unfortunately, I am unable to extract a signal from it.

Can someone who has also installed this FFB (Fanatec Formula wheel base) tell me if this is normal, or if only I am experiencing this problem?
