Als erstes möchte ich ein Lob für dieses Forum geben. Es hat mir schon sehr bei der Fehlersuche geholfen. VThank you very much.

Zu meinem Problem: Unser Wagen VW Golf Variant 1,9 TDI; Bj 1994; 90 PS Motor 1Z; ca. 290.000 km ruckelt bei ca. 60 – 85 km/h im 4. und 5. Gapprox.
- Over time, the jerking has become more pronounced. If you are very careful with the accelerator pedal, you can drive in gears 4 and 5 without any jerking. However, even a slight change in load or if you accelerate more, the jerking will intensify.
- If you fully depress the accelerator pedal within a specific speed range and gear, there will be 1-3 jerks during acceleration, but the car will then accelerate normally.
- When accelerating above <1500>3800 rpm = 0 – 0.8 V.
- Timing belt, tensioner pulley, and idler pulley are new and properly tensioned.
- The gear on the crankshaft is stuck.
- Camshafts - Timing is OK.
- The language model is working as described.
- The engine has no power deficit, and the top speed is greater than 180 km/h.
- The engine does not produce any black smoke under any load conditions.
- The engine's fuel consumption is 4.9 - 5.1 liters per 100 km with gentle driving, and 5.5 liters per 100 km when driving on the highway.
- There were no error codes stored in the system's memory, and according to the Volkswagen technician, the values read during the test drive were normal.

Since I want to avoid the 'exchange based on guesswork' method, which can lead to losing money, I hope someone else has experienced the same problem and can share the solution.

Thank you very much.
Klaus.

Sure, here is the translation of the German text "suche mal bitte nach "1z ruckeln" " into English:

"Please search for "1z ruckeln"."

Then you will be overwhelmed with problems and solutions.

VERY INTERESTING: What is the part number of your engine control unit (ECU)?

We suspect that the issue is most likely related to unit 1Z with the serial number 028 906 021 AF. We haven't encountered any similar problems with other BF units before.

m;

Edit: Oops, I just saw that it's a 1994 model - it's probably an AF (Automatic Transmission).

Edit2: Even more UPS, it will probably be a Facebook ad... but definitely an MSA12.

'Please search for it, as dieselmartin already mentioned.'

Try adapting it, as you'll likely find in your search. However, this might only provide a temporary solution. Usually, it's the quantity control valve, and the problem is often resolved by installing a new injection pump.

The shaking in our VW Golf TDI is finally gone.

Through a precise analysis, aided by the VAG-Com diagnostic tool, I was able to identify the cause. The jerking was caused by the fuel quantity control unit. There was an erratic fuel injection quantity at idle. After I slightly adjusted the fuel quantity control unit on the fuel injection pump, so that it was at its limit and the engine idled at 980 RPM, which was slightly faster than the specified idle speed, the engine ran smoothly at idle.

The jolting at speeds of 60-85 km/h was also altered. It occurred with a slightly higher fill level. Even in this state, there was a slight fluctuation in the values for the current fill level.

After replacing the entire fuel injection pump (purchased online for 280 EUR from a car dismantler), the engine runs like new again.

Have fun again.

Klaus.

Sure,

That's also mentioned in all the articles about it (that a new pump helps).
