Camshaft V6 TDI - does this affect everyone?

The title says it all:

Does the "worn camshaft" problem affect ALL V6 TDI engines?

Or was there a specific year of manufacture (Bj) or engine code (MKB) after which the problem was "resolved"?

I'm currently considering buying a V6 TDI, but I know it could take some time, so I'd like to get it checked out by a specialist before I make a decision.
