Four weeks ago, I had a chip installed in my A4 1.9 TDI. Recently, the engine electronics warning light has illuminated several times. When I inquired about what it meant, I was told that the chip provides too much power and the engine is receiving too much diesel. A week later, just before the problem was resolved, my catalytic converter started making a rattling noise. I was told that something had come loose inside the catalytic converter and that I would need a new one.
Could it be that the problem is related to a misconfigured chip?
