Rear Wiper: How to Adjust Lower Position

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the lower zero point of the rear wiper, i.e., the position where the wiper rests when not in use?

My windshield wiper rests at a slight angle, and I would prefer it to be horizontal.

That shouldn't be too much of a problem, right?

Oh yeah, I have a Volkswagen Golf Mk3 Estate (Variant) from the year 1997...

Detach the wiper arm from the gear shaft, activate the wiper a few times, and then reattach the arm in the desired position. That's it. There are no limit switches or microswitches to adjust. If this doesn't work permanently, a new motor may be necessary. The gearbox is riveted in place – the limit switches are also located there! There's not much you can do with DIY modifications. The motor can be separated from the unit and replaced separately.
