Hello everyone,
I drive a V70 TDI with a 5-cylinder Audi engine, model AEL, 140 horsepower, with 195,000 km on the odometer, first registered in April 2000.
For the past year, the car has been experiencing a gradual loss of power.
Over 150, all very tough. Very poor performance in hot summer weather, especially below that temperature.
2300. Wave-like acceleration on the highway, occurring every 2 seconds.
The Volvo control unit didn't yield any useful data.
Volvo suggested replacing the injector nozzle, then the turbocharger, then the pump, etc.
Of course, I would have to pay for the parts... there's really nothing more to say about that.
After doing some research here on the forum, I replaced the mass airflow sensor (MAF), and it was a successful fix. Performance is significantly better, with noticeable power increase from 2000 RPM. (Bosch 0280218045, 63 Euros).
However, the 'wavy' power delivery in 5th gear is still slightly noticeable, although it is significantly better.
Would replacing the magnetic valve that controls the pressure sensor of the turbocharger be the next step here? It's from Pierburg, part number 7 222 40 01, and there are two other numbers on it:
98T335, and 127 5924.
Does anyone know if I can also get this part from Audi?
Thank you in advance for any tips.
Thomas.
P.S. Otherwise, the car is running quite well, with a fuel consumption of 5.5-6.5 L/100 km on long distances. |
