Hi!
Sure, here's the translation:
'Just a question about the liability of workshops.'
I took my car to a new workshop. Aside from being called five times (!!!) to confirm whether I really wanted to change the transmission fluid on my Tiptronic, which they said wasn't necessary, and me saying 'YES, ABSOLUTELY' each time, the workshop didn't bother to call me to ask if I still wanted to use synthetic oil in my engine and simply poured in a standard motor oil (already past its prime), even though the sticker indicating the previous oil was still attached.
My question is:
a) Will using a semi-synthetic oil damage the car, especially since it previously ran for 100,000 km on a full synthetic oil?
b) If so, is the workshop liable for any damage caused by this? I was assured that the engine would not be damaged as a result.
I'm a bit annoyed because this doesn't really fit with the overly talkative people who call about every little thing.
Regards,
Felix.
P.S. AFB TIP, 235,000 km, AT engine replaced at 135,000 km.

Hello,
"Whether an oil is fully synthetic or partially synthetic doesn't say much about the quality of the base oil or the additive package. There are good and less good oils in both categories. What exactly did they put in it? I wouldn't leave the oil in for longer than the recommended interval, but rather change it according to the normal schedule (not the extended "longlife" interval)."
Best regards,
Christian.

When it comes to oil in relation to a V6 engine, one should be very careful! Many worn camshafts could have been avoided with the correct oil and, above all, by adhering to the recommended maintenance intervals.
still alive. I recommend having this checked by VAG using the vehicle identification number.
