Does anyone know if the intake manifolds of the AFB have the internal valves (e.g., as in the Mercedes 220 CDI)?

Hello Rafael,

If you mean a Schrader valve, the V6 TDI AFB or AKN does not have one.

It refers to a distribution charging air duct, which would have several flaps (1 per cylinder) inside.
Maintaining a stable boost pressure is beneficial for the CDI engine.

Hi,
are these valves not for controlling the twist? (Relatively) a lot of twist at low throughput, (relatively) little twist at high throughput.
But I haven't seen anything about that in the AFB either.

If, then the timing valves are located in the cylinder head.

I'll check the SSP for the V6 TDI.

The suction tube has none, because otherwise there would be 6 connections or waves to see here:
