It's sweating, probably due to moisture and dirt seeping through the rod and out.
verschandeln up, go for a ride.
If it becomes available again, I would repurchase it.
If not, check it during the next inspection. That's it. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Morning...
I've seen that before. My brother had the same problem with his Passat.
He replaced some seals, and the problem went away. However, I can only ask him about it on Saturday. If I remember.

At Tribu, it was likely a leak in the gasket at the flange of the outgoing turbocharger hose.
It was known for having problems from the factory.
Only there is the Passat dry.

I didn't really foresee it like that back then. Everything was just really greasy. So, that's probably how it was .

Should I add another one?
The Golf 4 is also affected by this issue, specifically the leaky turbocharger hose connections. Transparency, Teamwork

So, it's an SDI with around 85-90 horsepower. It can be annoying sometimes, but it's basically indestructible. I use the car for work, driving about 5000 kilometers per month. Well, I wouldn't call it a race car, but it's okay for that purpose.
I got it for a good price.
I don't have the time for a second car privately (I used to have a TDI) - you can't have everything.
But if someone were to ask me, I would probably choose a TDI next time. Okay, I'll be driving this for another 1-2 years, then we'll see .

Sorry, but I don't think so.
The 1.7 SDI (AKU in the Polo 6N2) that I once worked on left black streaks on the road even with the smallest amount of boost, without any noticeable increase in power.
90/68 = plus 32 %. You can barely achieve that with chips and TDis. Transparency, Teamwork

I agree.
By replacing the seals in the G-series turbocharger's charge air system, the leakage can be minimized. I replaced them at around 30,000 km, and so far, with about 130,000 km on them, there has been virtually no oil leakage.

...was only measured on the road, not on the test bench.
Basically, I don't really care either. The 1.9 models are offered with a chip that boosts them to 80-85 horsepower. The increase in power is noticeably felt. You can't see any soot. The fuel quantity increases were made up to 15% (I think). But it varies depending on the RPMs. He didn't tell me the exact numbers. He also changed the injection timing. At top speed, it's definitely faster, somewhere between 5-7...8 km/h.
Since I only drive at a maximum of 2,200 RPM anyway, it doesn't really matter to me. "Still, next time I'll probably want something different delivered to my door *hehe."
