It might be possible to conduct an (obviously non-representative) experiment with new lamps from a different manufacturer to "see" what happens. By the way, I've also seen something similar in some company Tourans, and to my knowledge, those didn't have cornering lights. Hi,
Here's the translation:
"As a supplement: The glass covers in front of the round G6 auxiliary lights seem to break surprisingly often, as one reads about it online. Is there a connection between this and the discolored glass bulbs (due to overheating)?" Gruß

Lucky you, no turn signals needed.
I think I'm going to remove the turn signals on the G5 again - the reflector shape makes it more of a visual gimmick than anything useful. However, they are actually useful on the G6.

"I also coded them to work without the approval mark. It does make a difference, although 35W won't turn night into day. I mostly keep the cornering lights off to avoid unnecessarily stressing the actuators. They only come on on country roads, which is easily done via the MFA (Multi-Function Display). I don't want to have to replace two SW (steering wheel module) housings someday because of defective actuators." Gruß

Why, I also coded them to work without the checkmark. It does make a difference, although 35W doesn't turn night into day. I mostly keep the cornering light off to avoid unnecessarily stressing the actuators. They are only active on country roads, which can be easily toggled via the MFA. I don't want to have to replace two SW housings someday because of defective actuators. |
So, you don't need to worry about that. You can easily get 200,000 km with a Q7, and with the xenon headlights and cornering lights always active. There are absolutely no problems with the cornering lights or the bulbs .
"Automatic headlight leveling is a feature found on all vehicles with xenon headlights, and you rarely hear about any problems with the actuators."

Your words in VW's ears.
"This piece of junk cost me 300 EUR: The tilting module and the shutter weren't compatible, and at a certain angle of the swivel light, the shutter would fall off -> I had to replace the entire housing, and they only offered a partial discount, all this after just 2.5 years of use!!!"
Furthermore, an automatic low beam headlight system (required for xenon headlights) is not the same as a dynamic low beam headlight system.

Recently, I had a new Ibiza 6J, also with cornering lights. To my surprise, the bulbs looked exactly the same. And that after only 8,000 km...

I already mentioned that I noticed this on brand new Tourans without (any) xenon headlights or cornering lights, specifically regarding the bulbs in the fog lights. Automobile Zeitzeugen: |SUZUKI Swift Sport (2008)| |Smart 450 (2002)| |Honda CB 125 F (2018)|

Ford Mondeo, S-Max, ... The headlights of the fog lights, as well as those in the high beams, are equipped with milky yellow/brown halogen bulbs. The vehicles are all very new to brand new. Automobile Zeitzeugen: |SUZUKI Swift Sport (2008)| |Smart 450 (2002)| |Honda CB 125 F (2018)|
