That's the main problem; while the basic settings can be performed normally,
it seems that the values are not being saved.

I once had something similar on a Passat 3C. If I remember correctly...
Adaptation --> Learning values were deleted, then the basic settings could be performed again.

The output test was only intended to verify the functionality (by swapping cables).

L code --> long encoding.

Hello!

To delete it, the company requires a code that I do not have icon_sad.gif.

Best regards, Peter.

@Rainer

Sorry, misunderstanding. I was thinking of LCode 2, my bad.

I already understand what LCode is; I just never refer to the long encoding that way icon_smile.gif. It's a habit.

The LCode mask fits; I will occasionally post a Screenshot. The coding matches a comparable vehicle.

Regards, Peter.

The same encoding/check character in LCode corresponds to the same long encoding in VCDS. This is always the case because LCode represents the long encoding in a different way.

If you want to adopt the coding of a comparison vehicle, it should be identical. That is, not only the model, year of manufacture, and equipment, but also the part numbers and software versions of the involved control units. Only then can you copy the coding 1:1, and it will work. Otherwise, it might work, but it doesn't have to.

Hello,

The difference between your encodings and the specifications in byte 1 is precisely bit 2, which indicates left-hand traffic (yes/no).
Does bit 3 indicate altitude information from the sensor itself, rather than from the CAN bus?

Best regards, Rainer.

Hello!

I initially used a coding scheme designed for left-hand traffic, but I was informed that the resulting code was incorrect.
If you choose left-hand traffic, the error pattern reverses.

The axle sensors are only connected to the ALWR control unit, so there is no CAN bus communication.

What is the significance of bits 4 and 5?

Greetings,

Peter.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

Sure, no problem. Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I will only provide the translation, without any explanations.

Hello!

For many, it's a straightforward matter, but for some of us, like me, it's not something we encounter every day.
To clear up any confusion regarding the term "Left-Hand-Drive/Traffic," because I myself was no longer sure about it, here is a link to the relevant Wikipedia pagehttp://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rechtslenker.

"Left-Hand-Drive" = Left-hand drive (car)
"Left-hand traffic = Right-hand drive."

Option to switch between tourist mode, left-hand drive or right-hand drive.
According to VW's documentation, this function is not required for the xenon headlights of the T5 GP because making any changes would be pointless. The documents clearly state that no adjustments or modifications are necessary for driving on the left side of the road. The xenon headlights of the T5 GP do not have a laterally angled beam that would cause glare when driving on the left.

What I still haven't figured out is what bits 4 and 5 represent, what they actually mean, and which functions are associated with them.

Greetings,

Peter.

P.S.: Please excuse my sometimes slightly confusing responses. Between work, household chores, and family life with a young child, my brain doesn't always keep up. I just reread the entire post, and I have to shake my head at some of the things I wrote; please forgive me.

Seriously?

Don't all cars in Germany have those headlights?

Even the H7 reflector halos have "flags" pointing to the upper right.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

The keyword is "asymmetric low beam headlight," which features a standardized bend of 15 degrees that allows for additional illumination of the right-hand side of the road in countries with right-hand traffic.

Well, our bus has a somewhat ingenious adjustment mechanism in the headlight. But it's just a T5.1 with top-quality xenon headlights, after all.
The T5.2 has a rather "steep" light beam due to the cover over the lens and its high mounting position. Since it doesn't have cornering lights, you could probably spend a long time trying to reprogram it, but nothing will change. Supposedly, it's suitable for tourist trips in island traffic. VWN definitely told my friend, who was planning a trip to Scotland with the new California, something along those lines, and it all seemed very strange to him...

@MathiasViewing profile: Mathias

"Well, there's definitely no difference regarding the mounting position between the T5.1 and T5.2 models. The illumination is perfectly horizontal with a very slight, almost negligible tilt to the upper right. If you stand 5 meters away from a wall, that small step might be only 2cm high. So, it's initially horizontal from left to the center of the lens, then rises 2cm vertically, and continues horizontally to the right."

The lighting is very good, and the high beam is, for me so far, unmatched.

The VWN dealer is right; there's definitely nothing to do when you switch to driving on the left side of the road.

Greetings,

Peter.
