I don't understand it.
- If the injection timing were set as early as described, the engine would have experienced extreme knocking at low RPM.
- Early torque peak (EZP) would have clearly favored a quicker start from lower RPM.
- No reason found for the lack of boost pressure.
Why were the exchange transactions mentioned at the beginning actually carried out?
hg
Herbert.

Edit - this is the second case I've seen with you regarding an injection pump that was turned on too early, see /viewtopic.php?t=26822 from last fall.
Is this being "expertly modified," perhaps with a focus on "material degradation" as a key aspect?

"The Audi belongs to a friend of mine, and he asked me for help! My Golf 4, which I mentioned in another report, had a similar problem, but it had a different symptom. It had an LD (Low Pressure) issue, and the problem was resolved after replacing the pump; it's been running perfectly ever since!" It's quite possible that the pump in the Audi is already showing signs of wear or has become misaligned. My friend said he's been driving the Audi for a few years, thinking the car was supposed to behave that way. Then he came to me, and we started troubleshooting the issue.

Herbert: Regarding tuning and potential damage to the vehicle, I can't be held responsible if these cars were already poorly tuned by other tuners long before I got involved. I simply have the ability to install the original software or a tuning solution that offers very high quality, or to fix things in a way that the customer desires, ensuring years of enjoyment without any issues or damage! The modifications were done by a friend before he came to me. I only replaced the cracked vacuum hoses, bled the cooling system, checked and re-flashed the chip software.

Have you also checked the valve timing? Keyword: crankshaft pulley.
As I said, the pump doesn't adjust itself automatically.....

The pump was adjusted and supposedly checked at a VW workshop. Let's see if this lasts, or if the timing will shift again. My friend will let me know if anything is wrong again!

Even though I don't believe it's the issue with the AHF (Air Heater), I'll check the KW wheel as Autoservice suggests.

I don't think so either, but you never know... That's why the question about the valve timing arises.

If they were also misaligned, the assumption would be justified. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a qualified assessment of the actual condition.

But still, thank you for the feedback icon_wink.gif.

We will conclude here. If anything else comes up, please send me a short private message.

Since the pump was replaced, it has been working perfectly!

It is very unlikely that the pump is the cause of the problem.

In the log, you're only seeing 500-600 mg/h of air mass at a boost pressure of 0.6-0.8 bar. Either the mass airflow sensor is giving incorrect readings (due to a defect, a faulty part, or a corrupted data set), or the engine is actually drawing in very little fresh air at that moment, perhaps due to incorrect valve timing or issues with the EGR system.
