Hello,
Unfortunately, the update was unsuccessful. The secondary air valve is working correctly. Also, the vacuum source it connects to, and the switching valve located upstream of it.
Surprisingly, nothing is being stored in the error memory anymore.
However, the jerks and extreme misfires are still present. I read somewhere else that it was the engine control unit (ECU) in the end, and I'm just at a loss for what to do now.
Is it possible to read the fuel pressure on a Golf 4 1.6 SR? I couldn't find a matching MWB (Material Safety Data Sheet) for that.

Hello,
Have I missed something, or has anyone posted an engine control unit part number (VAG part number) or at least a scan of it anywhere yet?

There is no measurement block for fuel pressure.
If you click on the blue-highlighted name of the label file within the measurement blocks, the file will open, and you can see what's inside.

We were probably able to identify the problem, even though it's not 100% clear which one it was.
After reviewing the data again, I repeatedly noticed a high temperature reading. Another point was that cylinder 2 was now experiencing misfires.
However, it's normal for the APF (automatic transmission) to have a temperature that's more than 100 degrees Celsius above the coolant temperature, because the thermostat in the APF only opens at 106 degrees Celsius!
However, it was surprising that this value did not decrease and remained relatively constant at 106-108 degrees Celsius.
I replaced the dual coolant temperature sensor as a corrective measure. As a result, the coolant temperature now fluctuates continuously between 96 and 106 degrees.
For cylinder 2, I swapped the cables with those from cylinder 1 for testing purposes, as they have the same length. It's possible that the new cable itself was also faulty, and the problem would have shifted to the other cylinder, but that didn't happen.
The misfires were gone after the two measures were implemented. Another possibility is that the thermostat was stuck inside its housing and that my shaking of the sensor may have dislodged it.
The problem has been resolved for the past few days, at least.
