10-cent fuel injector tuning is done like this:

Hello Stefan,

For certain reasons, I haven't described the process in detail (even though I know it well). I want to avoid situations where widespread dissemination of these "tuning" methods could cause damage, which would then unfairly be blamed on people here in this forum.

- I don't want to be responsible if someone disassembles their fuel tank (due to hot fuel being returned into the tank). Some PD models have active fuel coolers. If the signal from the temperature sensor is incorrect, these coolers will also not function correctly.
My AXR engine, for example, cools the fuel by mixing return fuel with fresh (colder) diesel from the tank. This mixing process is significantly disrupted if the EDC no longer knows the fuel temperature.
- With vehicles equipped with the WIV system, the combined system will immediately send you to the workshop for an inspection. This is because the temperature profiles of fuel, water, and oil are also used to calculate the WIV interval. If there is a significant increase in temperatures from a cold start, the EDC (Electronic Control Unit) assumes that the service needs to be performed sooner (meaning the car is essentially being "stressed" more often).
- Fuel temperatures of 110°C are not uncommon in direct injection engines (since the fuel flows through the cylinder head), so this tuning measure only provides benefits with a partially cold engine or during winter.

@everyone

I warn everyone against using this "tuning modification" without being informed about the risks.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I also believe that this measure is not without risk.
This whole thing can really have unpredictable effects, and I explicitly warn everyone against buying such 'power boxes' on eBay.
oder deratiges an seinem fahrzeug auszuprobieren !
This measure is NOT comparable to the 10-cent tuning for vpe.

Hi there,
What's the matter?
If you cool the fuel in the introduction section using a small cooler, would that...?
and then implements these adjustments?
greetings

The issue is the feedback loop.
Diesel that flows back into the tank simply gets too hot.

And even in the installation instructions, the ULF test is being used!

I "acquired" such a part for a neighbor and installed it for him. He is very enthusiastic (I am not). It's possible that I could lend this part out for some test runs sometime.

Hi Bertil.

So, I can safely do without the measurement data from this method.

My thoughts on the matter are already detailed in the article in section 10c, and they align with your assessment.
The largest difference between the actual and apparent diesel engine temperature, and therefore the greatest increase in performance, occurs after a cold start in freezing temperatures.
This is how the engine gets maximum performance, even though it should be protected as much as possible to extend its lifespan -> a free pass for material destroyers icon_twisted.gif.

So, I can only recommend Jan's suggestion to the authors of the stolen images and texts.

Best regards, Rainer.
