Hello Benno,

What method are you using to try to reset the service?

What message do you receive when you use the "Reset Service" assistant?
Viele Grüße
Andreas

I just installed the latest software version 16.8.3 and reset it again. There is no change compared to the previous software. I have tried all the options, including fixed, flexible, and service reset. In each case, the only thing that remains is the display in the speedometer showing "Service due."

Best regards,

Benno.

You should not try everything randomly, but do it correctly. icon_idea.gif
Speak...

1.) Set the service type (flexible or fixed) or ideally leave it as it is from the factory.
2.) Configure the channels correctly and completely, as vag-driver described.

In short, here's the procedure for setting the parameters:

1. WIV time since inspection.
2. WIV travel distance after inspection.
3. WIV oil quality > good oil quality.

Possibly add more...
4. Fixed mileage since the last inspection based on operating hours: 0 km.
5. FIX: Time since last time-based inspection: 0 d

3.) Exit the control unit, turn off the ignition.

Screenshots will follow once I can find them. If anyone can post screenshots of the combination instrument customization channels in UDS, they will be gratefully accepted!

Best regards, Rainer.

I have just reset the service indicator.

The small program for resetting everything was configured correctly, except for one point: the time since the last service. In my case, the dashboard still showed the old value, which was 400 days. After I manually set it to 0, the service reminder disappeared. So, the question is: is this a bug in the program, was it intentionally designed this way, is my dashboard not compatible with this program, or am I just too stupid to understand it?

Best regards,

Benno.

Hi Benno,

Thank you for the feedback! No, that is not intentional. Do you have a full diagnostic scan of the vehicle?

Best regards, Rainer.
