On my Sharan 7N, I reset the "Time" and "Distance" values since the last inspection to 0 in the adaptation menu 10, under setting 17, in the selector panel. Now, the MFA (Multi-Function Display) is showing "Service now!".
What else do I need to reset?
Thank you very much!
PS: The script built into VCDS to reset the service interval unfortunately doesn't work with the Sharan.
Viele Grüße
Andreas

Hello Diver!
Check out the very bottom of the link here:
http://www.dieselschrauber.de/Service_Intervall_VW.html
It should already be possible with the current VCDS software, which is surprising to me.
Best regards from Munich!

I have VCDS version 15.7.4.
My Sharan is from 2011. In the adaptation channel 10, I have a drop-down menu to select from. However, it seems like there's still something that needs to be reset, otherwise the MFA (Multi-Function Display) will keep showing errors.
Viele Grüße
Andreas

Currently, version 16.8.2 (or similar) would be suitable.
I would first download the latest version here in the shop using the customer login and then try again. (The interface is also being updated!)
Please review the link above again carefully, as well as the adaptation settings for it. You may need to manually check and correct these settings individually, and then save them.
So, starting with things like minimum/maximum time, kilometers, oil quality, etc.
Best regards from Munich!

With Golf 6+ and similar models, there are sometimes more entries that need to be manually reset. I believe it's once for the SIA oil service (days & mileage) and then again for the SIA inspection (days & mileage), definitely days and mileage need to be reset twice, I experienced this recently on a G6+.
@Dieselmaus: Your link doesn't apply to the model from the TE; it's a completely different generation.

I switched from WIV to SIA in the settings and then reset WIV. The "Service now!" message is gone, but now I'm seeing "Service due in 15,000 km or 372 days."
Am I now on a fixed interval?
Viele Grüße

If I interpret WIV and SIA correctly, I need to adjust the maximum time value in SIA to 744 days and the maximum distance value to 30,000 km. Then, WIV should be able to work with the SIA values and dynamically calculate the interval.

As far as I'm aware, with the current versions of VCDS, you no longer need to adjust settings in the adaptation channels.
There's actually another button directly in the main menu, I think it's in the top right corner. You can probably automate those kinds of things there.

Exactly this assistant is not working , and the message appears to edit the channels in the switchboard interface.

For combination instruments that are accessed via UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services), the old adjustment channels no longer exist, which is why the previous service recall assistant does not work with them.
@ vag-driver : Please check VCDS version 16.8.2 in the customer account (new).
Best regards, Rainer.

No changes with the new version.
I have now set the SIA (Service Interval Indicator) to 30,000 km and 744 days, which is also what the MFA (Multi-Function Display) shows.
Am I still on the flexible LL interval, or have I unknowingly switched to a fixed one?
Viele Grüße
Andreas

Everything is fine now.
With version 16.8.2, I was able to adjust the oil quality setting, and now it displays "--- km" and "--- days" in the MFA (Multi-Function Display). Version 16.8.1 had already indicated a good oil quality, which is why I couldn't change that value.
In short, here's the procedure for setting the parameters:
1. WIV time since inspection.
2. WIV travel distance after inspection.
3. WIV oil quality > good oil quality.
Possibly add more...
4. Fixed mileage since the last inspection based on operating hours: 0 km.
5. FIX: Time since last time-dependent inspection: 0 d
Viele Grüße
Andreas

"With my A6 Allroad TDI model from 2009, the service interval cannot be reset using the current software version 16.8.2."
Supposedly, he's writing the new values to the instrument cluster, but the "Service Due" indicator remains on.
Ich kann auch nicht irgendwelche Werte manuell Anpassen , wie es vag-driver schreibt. What's going on?
Best regards,
Benno.
