Good morning everyone, unfortunately, I jumped the gun. He's now making the same mistake of having a fuel mixture that's too rich. And since last night, he's been vibrating under load. I took out the lambda sensor, and it was completely covered in soot. Also, he's not running perfectly smoothly when idling. But the performance is the same as before. So, what can I do now?

Hi.
Check the idle speed control and injectors.
It's usually best to simply replace the throttle valve and EGR valve if their mechanical components are worn out, as there's little you can do to fix them.
"Russ" likely means there's too much fuel for the amount of air. I suspect there might be a problem with the EGR valve or a leak in the charge air duct.
Best regards, Rainer.

It's strange that it started suddenly. The instability is only noticeable at lower RPMs. It's hardly noticeable at higher RPMs or when going uphill. When the car is stationary, it sounds like it's running on only 3 cylinders, but it's actually running on all 4. Could it be the turbo? It feels like it has full power.
I don't want to exchange everything, just the items that are actually broken.

Hi there.
Regarding the engine, there should be a basic adjustment of the throttle valve and the EGR system. Was this adjustment done after the cleaning?
It may not be the solution, but it's part of the cleaning process, just like a wear test (e.g., the throttle valve gear).
It's probably not the turbocharger's fault any more than it is the windshield wipers'.
Otherwise, the full testing program will likely be required.
- Motor control
- Compression
- Switching time corrections, return flow rates.
- Air mass / Boost pressure / EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) / Injection quantities under load.
You can only guess from a distance.
Are the suction channels in the head clear?
hg
Herbert.

Good morning, I think it might be one or two injectors. I'm not driving it anymore because it's running really badly. It's also hard to start. And yes, I've already adjusted the carburetor and the automatic enrichment system. I'll pull the injectors tomorrow. The channels in the cylinder head were clean. I've suspected the injectors for a while now.

Please review the LLR values and the raid pressure calibration points again (3 each).
Are the ESD correction values entered correctly?

Because it's possible that previous owners may have modified it (if applicable).

I'm just trying to help you before you start replacing parts. The simplest things to do are visual inspections and reading out values.
How would you tell if an ESD (electrostatic discharge) device is defective?

Yes, I know that, and I haven't been using diesel for very long. I've always been a gasoline fan. I once did a test drive:

Hi,
However, the values of the LLR have changed significantly since your last publication.
What is also noticeable is the clearly negative values of the rail pressure calibration for all cylinders. The injectors spray very easily (open very easily). I wouldn't say they are "incontinent" (yet), but it would explain some things.
Perhaps a colleague here knows more.
Are the correction values entered in the MSG (Main System Generator) the same as those embossed on the injectors?

Good morning Herbert,
I haven't checked the values yet. I'll do that this evening. I'll also measure the return flow. Also, I've noticed that it smells like exhaust fumes. And at around 1800 RPM, it makes a strange noise. It sounds like a piece of metal is loose and hitting something, but I can't find anything that's loose.

The release bearing is unlikely to be the problem, as the clutch has only been in use for about 70,000 kilometers. Also, the noise comes from the top, regardless of whether the clutch pedal is pressed or not.
