You can't get them in if they're reversed.

I checked the communication errors to see which participants are missing.

According to the data network plan, ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), environment monitoring (lane change assist), and tire pressure are all connected to the extended system via the same splice point.

Hello,

I found the SSP 545 document. According to it, all CAN buses in the car, including the Comfort bus, operate at 500 kbit/s and therefore have a defined timing scheme.

I don't really understand what other cause of error could be besides a faulty control unit or damaged wiring.

What if one of the state machines gets stuck in a faulty state from which it cannot recover?

How long was the juice gone during the battery replacement? Would you have had a support in place, or just removed the battery?

Have you tried draining the battery completely by disconnecting it and bringing the onboard voltage to 0V?

Best regards, Rainer.

Could that apply to you?

The relay 645 (part number 4H0951253A) may be faulty. It is located in the right-hand fuse box, near the engine, at position R5.

Habe ich schon zwischen SB und SC getauscht. Without success.

I have now reduced the voltage at the terminal connections to 0.87V overnight by disconnecting the maintenance plug. It won't go any lower than that.

I'm not comfortable bypassing the safety features on a hybrid vehicle.

I started taking off all the covers and labeling each control unit a little while ago. I'm also measuring the CAN lines in all the connectors against positive and ground.

Currently, I'm increasingly suspecting that the gateway itself is the problem.

Hello,

Replacing the starter battery without a supporting voltage supply can cause the driver-assistance systems to fail.
While the errors can be deleted, they reappear after restarting.

The only way to fix this is by calibrating the sensors.

The reason your vehicle won't start might be due to a faulty main relay for terminal 30. These relays often fail and can cause a variety of error messages.

Please check the relay J271 in the relay box (engine compartment).

Best regards,

Michael.

Hello Michael,

hast du noch andere Tipps für das Anspringen? Die Idee mit dem Relais hatten Rainer und ich auch schon. Ich habe es mit dem Identischen Relais J329 im Innenraum quergetauscht und auch beide durchgemessen. Without success.

Hello Bo,

Then it becomes exciting and interesting.

What does the current error picture look like?

Is the engine turning over but not starting, or is it not turning over at all?

You have error entries with a speed of o - 6 RPM.

Error U1026 also indicates a missing engine speed signal.

Does the crankshaft sensor provide plausible signals?

What have you been up to so far?

Does the CAN bus work properly? Have you examined it with an oscilloscope or decoded its signals?

Not that a participant would pull the can excessively...

Error code P0607 indicates a problem with the voltage supply to the engine control unit.

Here are various verification steps. If you need more information, I'm happy to help. However, to find the correct control unit, I need the vehicle identification number (VIN).

Best regards,

Michael.

Hello BO,

I still have one.

Make sure to check the pressure build-up in the transmission! And try to clear the error code.

The box only starts when the pressure is correct.

Okay, please check the fuse and power supply from the DSG.

Best regards,

Michael.

Hello Michael,

After replacing the battery, I managed to clear all the error messages and start the engine once. During the drive home, about 200 kilometers, the entire dashboard display gradually started working again. The car was parked in front of the garage, but it wouldn't start anymore.

Currently, there is no authorization to start, so I cannot check the speed.

I've checked all the CAN segments and haven't found any shorts to ground yet, but there are some where there's complete silence (B663/B664). To trace the connections from end to end, I need to disassemble more components, which I don't have time for today. Now I need to pack up and head home soon.

I unfortunately didn't bring the CANalyzer with me this time, but it will be included in the next attempt.

Zu den Prüfschritten bin ich für jeden Tipp dankbar. Hast PN

Thank you and best regards.

I forgot to reply to this.

The pump starts when you press the start button. Pressure builds up and exceeds the lower threshold significantly. Nevertheless, the error cannot be cleared (which brings us back to the title of this thread icon_biggrin.gif).

The control unit rejects the deletion process and displays a pop-up message in VCDS.

Until the battery was replaced, I could clear the intermittent pressure error. After doing so, it was possible to start the combustion engine and also drive electrically.

Neither option is possible anymore.

Hello dear friends of the art of phantom hunting,

I had plenty of time this week to think and go through documents. Tomorrow morning, I'll be going back to the vehicle.

Before I proceed, I'd like to tap into your collective intelligence one last time.

Right now, my primary goal is to get the system up and running. I don't care which mode it's in.

To isolate the source of the "noise," I searched for error entries that could not be explained by disconnecting the battery AND were new to the car.

There are only 2 left.

42425 - Body Computer 1 / Central Electronics.
U0140 00 [00100111] - No communication.
[Diag_C_ACAN_Climate_Sensor_02_TO]

10790 - Control unit data implausible.
P0607 00 [00101111] - -
confirmed - checked since last deletion.

"The error code 42425 is concerning because the high-voltage control unit doesn't find the J519, but according to the data bus network diagram, it's not connected to the same CAN bus as the J519 anywhere. This means either the gateway J533 has a problem where the buses are merged, or the J519 itself is faulty. However, the latter is less likely because other control units aren't reporting any issues. Of course, I'll re-check the wiring and bus communication again, but could it be that the J533 is damaged? The VCDS was connected to the OBD port with the laptop turned on when I changed the battery. That just occurred to me."

"The 10790 error code completely overwhelms me. The transmission has a hairline crack in the base plate of the Mechatronic unit, which causes intermittent pressure errors at high oil temperatures (30097 - Transmission pressure P0867). This is a known issue and will be fixed as soon as the parts are available. However, it hasn't significantly limited the use of the vehicle so far."

"Control unit implausible, error code P0607, is driving me crazy because it's a new part and I have no idea where to start troubleshooting. The standard answer from most people I've asked is that the mechatronics are defective, but I find that extremely unlikely because there were absolutely no signs of any issues with them at any point. How could they fail after a battery replacement?"

A reward of one bottle of my local craft beer is offered for helpful information leading to the capture of the elusive creature.

Regards,

Hello Bo,

I've reviewed the errors, and I keep coming back to the same issue.
P0607 (Engine Control Unit Performance) fault. I would actually check the power supply to the engine control unit.

If this error is new and the vehicle was working properly before, I would start troubleshooting here.

Ultimately, you need to be able to rule out the components.

Engine control unit (ECU)
Pin A3: Connect to terminal 15, 12 volts.
Pin A1: Ground (or Common)
Pin A5: Connect to terminal 15, 12 volts.
Pin A6: Connect to terminal 15, 12 volts.
Pin A4: Ground (or Mass)
Pin A92: Class 15, connect to 12 volts.

Get the wiring diagram; it will make things much easier.

Best regards,

Michael.

Hello Michael,

The error code P0607 is located in the transmission control module. Do you still think the engine control module could be the cause?

I now have all the wiring diagrams, fuse assignments, relay schematics, and network diagrams.

I can also start logging CAN data tomorrow.

Hello Bo,

Yes - Engine Control Unit (ECU).

The error code is clearly associated with the engine control unit (ECU).

The guided troubleshooting process for this error code also involves checking the pins on the engine control unit.

In the engine control unit (ECU), you'll find error codes, for example.

10341 - Transmission control unit.

stored. The storage location is secondary.

Best regards,

Michael.

Okay, after 8 hours, here's what I've learned.

All wiring, fuses, and relays are in good condition. All grounding points have good contact resistance.

The only electrical anomaly I found is that a CAN bus voltage drops to 30% when terminal 15 is activated. The voltages return to normal levels when the gateway is disconnected.

For the next trials, a new gateway will be acquired.

Good evening.
