Hello!
I hope I don't get booed immediately!
I've been reading this forum for many days now, and I've also seen a lot of...
Getting suggestions for my problem!
Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution in most of the posts.
It's about the frustrating search for the reason why my Bora is now consuming so much fuel.
Diesel is wanted!!!
It can't be possible that he's maintaining a constant speed of 150 km/h at 2630 RPM.
7.9 liters is required according to the MFA. Driven on the highway, smooth road, using cruise control!
Or 120 km/h, 2080 rpm, with the same fuel consumption: 6.3 liters!
Am I just imagining this?
According to my opinion and values, LMM should be in measurement group 003.2.
and 003.3, actual value is OK.
Unfortunately, I'm not very good at interpreting large amounts of data, and I'm hoping to find some help here.
to find!! If I record data such as boost pressure, fuel injection volume, engine speed, air mass, and throttle position, how should the driving conditions be?
Full load? Partial acceleration, or constant speed?
Okay, so it seems there was something mentioned about a solenoid valve located above the mass airflow sensor.
Written: How can I verify this, or what are they doing?
I have two of them on the injection molding machine.
The air filter and diesel filter are also new!
Thank you in advance!!
Gruß Messknecht!

Hi Messknecht,

How many liters of fuel does your Bora consume per 100 km?
The MFA values you wrote don't shock me particularly, as mine (4motion) sometimes uses even more. But what's the point of being so stingy? If it was about that, we would have bought a 3L Lupo. icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif

Hello Troubleshooter!
It consumes approximately 8.2 to 8.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
It wasn't always like that! I have to say that 90%...
I mostly drive on the highway, usually using cruise control and maintaining a speed of 150 km/h.
That's roughly 120-150 kilometers per day.
As mentioned before, the engine only rotates at 2630 RPM at a speed of 150 km/h.
When I bought it last year, the fuel consumption was around 6.2-7 liters.
It starts to become noticeable when you do it once or twice a week.
At the tap!

Take a look at the technical articles. Your questions are all answered there. In particular, the technical article "Methodical troubleshooting using VAG-COM" should be helpful.

HELP!!!!
I took the measurements today!
Unfortunately, I'm having trouble adjusting to the change in scaling within the scope.
The maximum value for "mg/r" in the scaling is 1500, and it cannot be changed!
Therefore, it is also not possible to compare torque limitation with air mass limitation and soot limitation.
I borrowed the laptop and the software from my friend, but I'm probably too clueless to figure out how to use it.
Can someone help me?
Can I send the log to someone?
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! icon_cry.gif icon_cry.gif icon_cry.gif

Hello!
Could someone please take a look at this?
This morning, I conducted measurements on our test track.
1) Group 8 and 9.
2) Group 11
3) Group 10
Are these values okay?
Unfortunately, I'm only designed for braking or driving dynamics.
useful!
I'm not sure how much the sensors are allowed to differ from each other.
And I'm still missing a few connections regarding soot reduction.
Torque limitation! Fuel injection quantity limitation!
Are these actual values?
Or calculated?
Thank you, and please be patient with a beginner!!!!

Too bad that no one is responding! icon_cry.gif icon_cry.gif icon_cry.gif
But yesterday, I checked the camshaft and PD.
Unit checked! NW was almost good! But PD was partially incorrect.
Up to 180 degrees too open. This could be the cause of the increased consumption.
"Is that it??? I'm also going to disable the AGR (selective catalytic reduction) system today, let's see what happens!"

@messknecht

It's a shame that no one is responding!

It's simply that no one has the time or inclination to sort through the pile of numbers. If you create Excel tables, perhaps even with charts, it's possible to extract information without any problem. icon_wink.gif

@ Rainer K.
Unfortunately, I'm not exactly sure what happens to the PD elements when they are outside of the tolerance range! Please excuse me!

These are Excel spreadsheets.
I just copied and pasted it here from the clipboard!

OK?

Hi,

"@messknecht: Your name suggests you're familiar with handling measurement data. It would be helpful if you could get Excel to graphically represent the numerical columns. A picture is worth a thousand numbers. Then, I'm sure some people will look at the graphs and try to help you."

Well, a diagram would be better, but...

What I notice are the LMM values.

The mass airflow sensor (MAF) isn't providing consistent readings; instead, it's exceeding a maximum value of 1000, then dropping to 850. If all of this is happening with the throttle fully open (100% gas), I would say the MAF sensor is likely failing.

What would be interesting to investigate is the optimal engine speed for achieving the best LMM (air mass flow) value, which seems to be between 1500 and 3200 RPM. Also, the boost pressure, throttle position (100%), and fuel injection volume should be considered.
