Good evening.
Here's some information about what you can see/read using VCDS.
There are so many differences, so I've included them in the attachment below.
Enhanced features:
- 04 Basic settings
- 03 Actuator diagnostics
Basic functions:
- A complete list of IDE extended measurement values with units.
The list includes 638 data rows.
I created the list myself, and it "took"

some time.
With this list, I don't always have to be directly connected to the MSG.
Compose searches/queries easily on your computer.
Note: This list is only for...
- Passat, 3C, B6, manufactured in 2010.
- Engine, 1.6 TDI CR, CAYC
- MSG (Engine Control Module) from Conti, part number 03l906023GL.
- Software 9979
Read with VCDS, version 25.3.1, HEX-V2.
The VCDS display/output is NOT the same.
It must be examined carefully; the IDE numbers are not transferable.
Always check the measurement text and the abbreviation.
Significant differences exist between CAN extended diagnostic values and UDS, with UDS only supporting extended diagnostic values.
The statement "simply read IDE XXXVVV" is not a complete requirement.
because this statement is not clear.
I wouldn't have thought so.
In addition to that, some of my measurements are being displayed twice.
but with different IDE numbers and different naming conventions.
Why is that?,
I couldn't find anything about it, I have no idea.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Please write it out.
best regards
