Reading out error codes and modifying adaptations/codings would already be sufficient for me.

Yesterday, I experimented with the Vag-Com software on my PDA (Pocket Loox 600). It works quite well with the engine control unit, but I couldn't establish communication with the other devices.

My impression of the software is that it is still very unfinished. Some of the functions behind the buttons are not yet working, and logging is also not functioning.

However, it doesn't seem like there's anything decent on the market that's suitable for PDAs, so this is better than nothing.

The reason why vagcheck doesn't display all errors seems to be that not all errors are recorded in the FaultCode.txt file. That wouldn't be a problem, as you can simply copy the error code and the corresponding text into your program and extend the FaultCode.txt file.

Or simply decode the contents of the 'codes.dat' file and then copy it into the 'FaultCode.txt' file.
Furthermore, the FaultType.txt file is supplemented with the error type information.

It probably doesn't have the quality of VAG-COM, but it's still quite amusing.
