Oops... thanks for clarifying. I seem to have made a big mistake; in a moment of mental confusion, I thought "Selbstzünder" meant "glow plug." My bad. But I have one more question: I know that model airplane engines don't use fuel injection, but rather carburetors. However, isn't the glow plug only used to start the engine, and then it runs on its own...? Or am I mistaken?
@gremlin
I never would have thought that 3.5 horsepower was possible... but I just checked the Graupner website and saw that while it's a high value, it's not exactly unusual. Please forgive my ignorance.

However, in those devices, the glow plug is only energized to start the engine, and then the device runs on its own... or am I mistaken?
No! As mentioned above: To start the engine, apply voltage to ignite the glow plug; once the engine starts, remove the voltage from the glow plug, and the filament continues to glow due to the combustion temperature, which then ignites the fuel-air mixture. If the filament breaks, the engine will stall because the necessary temperature for igniting the mixture is no longer present!
My 1:8 4WD model car is powered by a 3.5cc engine with 1.75 horsepower. It's certainly an exception, but it's also possible.

That's already a very respectable 500 horsepower per liter. In Formula 1, it's only 300 horsepower per liter. On the other hand, an engine with 857 cylinders is not allowed there.
But let's get back to the topic. The smallest Yanmar generator diesel engine has a displacement of 199cc³ and produces 4.2 horsepower with a dry weight of 26kg. That would be a good power source for a scooter. The two-stroke engines commonly used there consume 4-5 liters of gasoline per 100km. With that amount, many diesel engines can also travel 100km. } At nine times the weight and double the speed.

Hi,
The only question is how it complies with emission standards – a diesel engine of that type likely has to meet completely different regulations than a vehicle engine.
It seems this is also a problem with the Enfield.

Hi Jan...
I also wanted to own an Enfield at one point because I thought it was a great bike. But after the test ride, my opinion changed... then I became interested in this [other vehicle/item].

However, the price exceeded my budget for a second motorcycle by far.
But the Ruggerini stationary engine with its 2 cylinders actually has Euro 2 certification for a motorcycle?!

Hi,
what all there is...
"...although I'm not really interested in bicycles; they seem far too dangerous to me."
The technology used in those small engines is fascinating again, as is any kind of "unusual" vehicle.
By the way... has anyone ever thought about putting a TDI engine into something like that trike?
Best regards,

The most dangerous thing about it is the completely blind and utterly incompetent drivers.

Sure, go ahead.
There is a three-wheeled vehicle (trike) equipped with the Smart CDI powertrain, even featuring an automatic transmission and a 'tip-tronic' shifter on the handlebars.
CU Gremlin.
