I think it can play a role because it limits the mass flow through the compressor.

And that's precisely why using a turbocharger increases the mass airflow compared to a naturally aspirated engine -> The higher the boost pressure, the greater the mass airflow, even with the same displacement.


Das schon auch, aber da schlägt eher Pumpgrenze oder max. Drehzahl als Grenze an. I see.
Perhaps it would be helpful to plot a representative curve for a 1.9L engine with known turbocharger behavior under full load onto a characteristic map of a VNT15 turbocharger.
