Hi,
The boss himself was working on it! (It's a very small company). If he had put a protective cover over the fender, the paint wouldn't have been scratched. ('You are absolutely right! I apologize. With so much enthusiasm, one forgets the small details,' he said, and took off his zipper jacket.)
If the car had been properly lifted, it wouldn't have gotten stuck on the frame. On the second attempt, he used thicker rubber pads. Unfortunately, they were too thick. So, someone quickly lifted the car by hand at the fender so that the colleague could place the rubber pads underneath. 'Nothing will happen,' he said. (Your comment??? Am I being too cautious?)
'This weekend, I'm going to put the car on a lift and take a closer look at the auxiliary heater. The workshop has a lot of used auxiliary heaters lying around. They also have new replacement burners. I haven't been able to find any new auxiliary heater control units anywhere, but I have found new Telestart control units.'
If I have even the slightest doubt that the auxiliary heater is not new, I will drive to Stuttgart-Vaihingen next week to the arbitration office and have it inspected there.
Regards,
Micha.
