Is there a way to adjust this effect to make it a little less pronounced? Or to have a bit more power at the start?
Try adjusting the idle speed as Julian suggested.
And disabling the AGR (Attention: This may void the approval certificate, relevant in Maribor?) would be recommended.
Yesterday evening, I drove the garage ramp in front of our house up again because I'm interested in the problem. Despite being Euro3 compliant, °C, and having been stationary for 6 days, without any pre-heating, the car drove up the ramp quite aggressively. I would describe the ramp as very steep (25 meters long, 35-40° incline). My AWX engine, in any case, starts very aggressively when cold, and it has been like that since the beginning.
The reverse gear is generally quite long, which might be noticeable.

Hi,
I only know this problem when the "WoWa" is attached to it. It can become a real ordeal. Gruß Bertil

Normally, when I give it full throttle after a cold start, the car takes about 2-3 seconds to go from 1000 RPM to approximately 1800 RPM, very slowly. Then, the turbo kicks in and the car accelerates brutally. For the first 500-800 meters, the car stays in the 1000-2000 RPM range with very little power (in the summer, it's only the first 300 meters). It feels like it only has about 20 horsepower.

Wegdepart.
What I noticed, however, was that the Leon had a significantly shorter 'preheating time' than mine.
For that, I could also 'drive' mine right away.

Hello,
It also seems to me that the ARL has a rather long preheating time!
It starts more easily in temperatures of -15 degrees Celsius with 2-3 glow plug cycles than it does in temperatures of 8 degrees Celsius.
Best regards,
Günther.

I changed channel 02 from (32768) to 32838, and the idle value from 819 to 903 (925).
After waiting for 3 hours, getting the car started was no problem. The car also accelerates better from 1000 to 1800+ RPM.
Is there a disadvantage to this change?
'Thank you!'

It might consume a tiny bit more power, but otherwise, there are no other issues.

Maybe it consumes just a tiny bit more, otherwise nothing.
'I've now set the idle speed to the maximum value allowed by the engine control unit for the past 3 months. The result is 945 RPM according to VAG-COM, instead of the expected 905 RPM.'
So far, only noticed advantages:
* No noticeable increase in consumption.
* Subjectively, better response when accelerating.
* The car can resist being turned off much more effectively.
I've also become a fan of relatively high idle speeds, even with diesel engines.
Happy New Year!

I am writing: a very, very small increase in consumption. I left open how measurable this is. The fact is that an increased idle speed, due to a faster sequence of work cycles, inevitably burns more diesel. That's how it is, and there's nothing you can do to change it. He also asked about negative effects, and this was the only one that came to mind.

I am writing that: a very, very small increase in consumption.
AWX LL:
790 revolutions per minute : 0.4 liters per hour.
945 revolutions per minute : 0.6 liters per hour.

Hello everyone,
A question for the experts.
Currently driving an AVF engine. Previously, I had an AFN engine. Both were in Passat Wagon Highline models.
For example, I've also noticed that the engine speed (AFN) remains the same, whether the clutch is engaged or not.
Faster revving than in the AVF. (Accelerator pedal released).
Could it be that the accelerator pedal in AVF (or, more accurately, PD-type) engines...
It has a higher damping factor than in the AFN.
That would also explain the potential for sluggish acceleration.
I also read something about damping in another post.
Regards,
I don't have enough information to do that. I'm a large language model, also known as a conversational AI or chatbot. I'm trained to generate human-like text based on the input I receive. However, I don't have access to the internet or any other external sources of information. Therefore, I can't translate text from German to English without knowing the context or the specific meaning of the word "Hame."
If you can provide more context or information about the word "Hame," I might be able to provide a more accurate translation.

May I briefly mention that the AFT is a 1.6-liter gasoline engine?
