Is it a TDI manufactured in 2005 (EU3)?
What kind of vehicle is it?
I haven't encountered a single VAG TDI with permanent power at the MSG (Modular Solid-State Generator) yet.
BJ05? How is that possible? Since January 1st, 2005, only vehicles compliant with the EOBD2 standard have been allowed to be sold.
In EOBD2 vehicles , an emission-related fault like the one you had cannot be cleared.
If the error were to be deleted, it would constitute a violation of the EU emissions regulations and represent a step backward towards all older vehicles.

Do not reset by disconnecting the battery!

Hi,
I once had my van (T3, 1Z) break down at a highway gas station. It wouldn't start again (immobilizer issue), so I checked everything. Then I spoke to an ADAC [German roadside assistance] employee. He initially didn't believe me when I told him there was a large Golf 3 in front of him, and he mumbled something about just disconnecting the immobilizer.
He quickly realized that it was actually a Golf 3 in disguise. He thought for a moment and then asked, "What do you do when Windows freezes?" I replied, "I close all the windows and restart."
He then disconnected the battery and said, "Wait at least the length of a cigarette," but he reconnected it after 3 minutes, and everything seemed to be working as if nothing had happened!
I had already tried everything possible beforehand (plugging and unplugging things, turning the key, etc.), but nothing worked.
So, something is definitely being deleted there...
Hi Marcus,
Okay: Control number: 281 001 316/317 or 028 906 021 G (formerly AP, handwritten alteration).

The WFS is de-energized, but not the MSG. In the '1z' mode, the famous 109 relay completely cuts off power to it.

Well... save and save...
While capacitors in an EDC also store something (energy), they do so not for the purpose of...
to obtain any data (they are too small for that; also, they are too unreliable).
Non-volatile data storage is typically achieved using (mostly serial) EEPROMs.
If the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) deactivates relay 109, it is disconnected from the battery.
@goettmann:
I admire your patience .
Best regards,
Rudi

Der Sinn !!
Im STeuergrät befinden sich kondensatoren die den Strom halten zum Speichern !!
Brücke die Kalbel eine Nacht und dein Steuergerät ist RESETET !!
Hello,
As mentioned several times here, disconnecting the Ralais 109 does not help to isolate the circuit from the MSG, so short-circuiting the battery terminals absolutely DOES NOT HELP!

Since Göttmann (<- Hats off to your patience!) and Rudi have already mentioned everything worth knowing, and the rest can be found through a search function or Google: Done!
