1. The AGR (Abgasrückführung) system was disabled by disconnecting and blocking the hose. When the engine is cold, error code 00522 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62) is displayed. When the engine is warm, there are no issues.
The engine is an AYM.
Could it be that a false message is being displayed, perhaps because I haven't found the correct labeling file for the AYM? Does VAGCOM always read data from the AKE?

2. Additionally, the engine is louder when idling if the EGR valve is defective. Is that okay?

Where can I find the target values for the AYM?

Otherwise, it's a great forum, and I've already learned a lot.

Best regards, sulzi.

With a cold engine, error code 00522 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62) is logged. When the engine is warm, there are no issues.
The engine is an AYM.

Since '522' has the same meaning for all other engines, I assume you're having a problem with it. It could be a broken wire, a corroded connector, etc.

The engine runs rougher with the EGR deactivated, which is normal. If you activate the EGR and adjust it to its full recirculation rate, it will run smoothly, like a diesel engine.
It results from the functionality of the 'exhaust gas recirculation' system.

'With a functioning EGR valve, there are no error messages when the engine is cold. However, if I disable the EGR valve by disconnecting the connector, I only get an error message related to the EGR valve, and nothing from the G62 sensor. This is strange and I don't understand it.'

But let's see, I'll investigate this further.

Best regards, sulzi.
