Hi

Is the correct differential pressure sensor installed? The high pressure differences could theoretically be caused not only by excessive Russian loading, but also because the wrong sensor with an incorrect measurement range is being used.

Best regards, Rainer

Hello Rainer,

The error appeared even with the original DDS. I replaced it as a precaution, but unfortunately, it didn't improve the situation. I actually uploaded a photo of the new DDS.

It doesn't look original, because if it were, there would be a VAG part number on it... of course, that doesn't necessarily mean it's not the correct part, or even a fake.

You might be able to get a similar vehicle from somewhere to use for testing. It's easy to switch around.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, I once helped someone with a "Belkannt" when they were having problems. After a brief search, the conversation turned to the DDS (Digital Display System) that they were replacing. They had bought it "somewhere" online. It had the same two mounting holes as theirs. The original one that was in the trunk only had one. The sticker on it makes me suspicious.

I would really try to find someone within my circle of acquaintances who would be willing to participate in a cross-exchange. Perhaps it will save time.

And one more note about the differential pressure sensor: On the BRE engine, there are two hoses connected to the DPF, one before and one after the filter element.

If the hose "after the ceramic filter" were corroded or leaking (also check the tubes to the DPF), you would also measure excessively high pressure differences, because the pressure in the exhaust system is certainly higher than the ambient pressure. icon_idea.gif

Best regards, Rainer.

It would be incredibly helpful for others if threads ended like this.

Yes, because the person making the request should not simply copy the "solution" to the problem that was provided. Because it's nonsensical and not a real solution, it won't even be mentioned.
